A Rock Star Insurance Agent

In my recent interview with Trummie Patrick, one of the top insurance agents in the country, three things stand out for me.

  1. He loves what he does. He loves helping people and gets joy out of simply helping his customers. Do you love what you do?
  2. To start each day, Trummie holds a team meeting. His team is less than ten people so the coordination is not complex. But making this commitment allows the team to share what their plans are that day that will help them accomplish their team and individual goals. How do you keep your team on track?
  3. He assigns product areas to each team member so they can educate others on the staff. What a great idea! One person can’t be an expert on everything and you always get better at something when you teach it. It also allows everyone to be viewed as an expert in at least one product area. Are you putting your employees in a position to become experts?
