Be Happier This Year

The other day, I stumbled upon a TED talk by Shawn Actor. The info reads: “We believe we should work hard in order to be happy, but could we be thinking about things backward? In this fast-moving and very funny talk, psychologist Shawn Achor argues that, actually, happiness inspires us to be more productive.” Click Here to watch: https://www.ted.com/talks/shawn_achor_the_happy_secret_to_better_work?language=en

Here are a few ideas that I suggest to kick start your New Year on the right foot.

  1. Send a positive email to someone different every day until the end of the year. Or go old school and find a pen pal (the military/veterans are a great example).
  2. Send a positive text to someone or a good group of friends about your favorite memory with them.
  3. Tell someone at your office or a customer or neighbor how much you appreciate their friendship.
  4. Go for a long walk with a loved one or someone you haven’t seen in a while. Go explore the new developments in Downtown Alpharetta!

To kick start my New Year, I want to thank each and every one of you that read my newsletters or watch my videos. Your feedback and compliments inspire me to keep creating more content, some inspired by y’all!

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and wishing you a prosperous 2020!
