Environmental Impact

We are all products of our environment.

CLIMATE CHANGE.  If you’re hanging out with hot heads you may be flying off the handle too quickly yourself.  If you’re working with a passive person you might not be reacting quickly enough.  Take your environmental temperature and determine where you may need to adjust.

GLOBAL WARMING.  Think of this as your company culture.  It may be getting warmer, headed to peak performance or it may be icing over.  Is chilliness seeping into your territory, leaving your customers cold?  Step in and warm things up.  Or know when to step out.

ATMOSPHERE.  Do you know where you are headed?  Are you hanging with those who encourage your growth and altitude?  What about your attitude? Make sure you are controlling all the things you can control, including who you are sharing your atmosphere with.  The rest, as they say, will take care of itself.

WATER.  If you’re floating downstream with little effort, proceed with caution. There may be rapids and waterfalls ahead. If you’re being encouraged to go upstream, the journey is tougher and can be lonely because most people down river don’t make the trip.  The good news is there’s very little traffic, and once you get to the top the view is awesome.

Mentors can shape us and so can our friends.  They guide us and direct us – sometimes without even knowing it.

Who are you listening to?  Who has your attention and soul?

Evaluate.  Eliminate.  Choose wisely.
