In the Niche

You have to have one. Having a niche allows you to stand out – to be special. It lets people know you are an expert at something.

I want to deal with an expert and I want that person to be my go-to guy.

Could that be you?

First, what is a niche? It’s your ideal position, vocation or calling – your specialized segment of the market.  It’s something you work on, think about and practice more than the average person in your field.

You don’t necessarily have to be the best at it.  Just give it your focus and it will grow in its importance to you.  Your desire to learn more will lead to expertise.

Your niche doesn’t have to be all you do, but it should be your lead story. It’s the rifle approach to promoting yourself.  Save the shotgun approach for another time.
