Talk To Everybody!

As I like to say, people can’t spend money with you if they don’t know you exist.

Most everyone in the part of the country knows Ralph Rucker.

He is not afraid to just stop at a business and walk-in and introduce himself. He doesn’t ask them for any business, he just wants to know them.

Ralph stays busy doing all kind of stuff

Landscaping, bobcat and tractor work, odd jobs. And hauling dirt and picking up stuff for the landfill with his dump truck.

Ralph just always does stuff others can’t find someone to do.

In other words, he stays in a Blue Ocean not a shark-infested Red Ocean. ( Book- Blue Ocean Strategy)

Ralph is always looking for a way to help. That’s another reason he just visits with people. He wants to know who needs help. If your car isn’t running hew will help you fix it. If a tree falls on your trailer and you don’t have insurance. He will cut ot off and help you repair it.

Several years ago I came up with the idea of Ralph’s Angels. I introduced him to several ladies in our area who are like-minded and love to help. Ralph now calls on his Angels when he needs money to help someone going thru a bad time.

For the last several years he and his wife Sara have coordinated buying Christmas presents for kids in one of the poorest areas of Kentucky. ICM operates a non-profit in McCrary County, KY. If you would like to help Ralph and Sara out by donating a $100-200 for a child to have Christmas just reply to this email.  www.ky-icm.org

So what happens if you just talk to everybody? You talk to them to get business from them, meaning you talk to them to see if you can help them get more business. You become Santa Claus for them by bringing them customers!

What will happen is those people will want to know more about you and what you do and then they will introduce you to their friends.

When they do we call that a referral!

Ralph says, “Talk to everybody!”
